How to Unpublish a Page in WordPress

Unpublishing a page in WordPress takes the page off your website—and the internet—so visitors can’t view it. You can unpublish or undo a page’s publication in WordPress in a few quick and easy steps. Here’s how.

1. Go to the admin dashboard.
2. Select Pages from the menu bar.
3. Find the published page you wish to unpublish. Click Edit.
4. Once in the page draft view, select Switch to Draft from the settings page panel on the right. (If not open, click the White Notebook Icon at the top right of the draft view.)
5. A pop-up will ask Are you sure you want to unpublish this post? Select OK.
