Why Does My Business Need a Website?
Your customers are online, and if you don’t have a business website, you’re missing out on sales. Here’s why you want a website for your business:
To establish your local presence
Most customers research and compare products or services online before they buy them. That’s probably what you’re doing right now, in fact! If your competitors have a website and you don’t, those businesses get the first crack at making the sale. The sooner you have a solid website communicating what your business offers, the sooner you start making sales.
To enhance credibility
Even if you’re great at promoting your business through word of mouth and social media marketing, consumers who are ready to buy are likely going to want to check out your website to make sure your business is legit. A professional website communicates to potential clients that your business isn’t a fly-by-night operation. It also helps customers get a better look at your products and see how you’re different from your competitors.
To boost customer traffic
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of adding content (blogs, images, video, etc) to your website to improve traffic from major search engines like Google. A good website with quality content is the only way to make sure that your services and products show up when people search for them.
To build your brand
Customers do business with companies they trust. A business website is an opportunity to communicate to the public a bit about who your business is and what it values. You can do this through design, photos, and your own words. When you create a website that shows your company’s personality, your business is more likely to stick in people’s minds, and they’re more likely to come back and buy from you again.
