How to Set a Header Image in WordPress
A WordPress header image is the picture at the top of your website that helps to create a visually appealing look. Setting a header image all depends on the theme you’ve selected for your website. Let’s go through the process together and get your website looking fresh and clean.
Follow these steps to set your WordPress website’s header image:
Select Appearance > Themes from your admin menu bar.
On your Themes window, the active theme on your site is the first one in the list. Click Customize.
Once in the Customize window, go to Patterns > Headers, which will open your site editor.
In the Headers window, find the header image style you want to use and click the three dots > Duplicate.
A sample header image and editable page will display. If you have a theme that offers a sample header image template, click on the upper part of the image displayed to open the block editor menu and select Replace. For themes that have a text header template, select the word or text to open the block editor menu and select Replace.
Choose an already uploaded image stored in your media library, upload one directly from your computer, or use a featured image you’ve already set.
