Activate a Plugin in WordPress

Plugins are software that adds to or extends your WordPress site’s capabilities, such as introducing a Contact Form or providing Spam Protection. WordPress typically comes with a few pre-loaded plugins, but generally you first have to install a plugin in WordPress before activating it.

Once a plugin has been installed, here are the steps to activating it:

1. Sign in to your WordPress dashboard and go to Plugins > Installed Plugins.
2. Find the name of the plugin you want to activate.
3. Click the Activate link next to the plugin’s name.
4. Follow the plugin’s instructions and documentation to set up and configure the plugin.
