Connecticut prefers all applications to be filed online. However, the state does accept mail and in person filings as well. State filing times depend on how you choose to file.
Online: Connecticut typically processes online filings in about 3 business days.
Mail: Connecticut is currently processing mailed filings in around 3-4 weeks (add time for mailing).
In Person: In person filings are processed by the state in about 3-4 weeks.

6. Receive Certificate of Verification
The Connecticut Secretary of State will send you a Certificate of Verification to confirm that you are registered as a foreign corporation.
7. File Connecticut Reports and Taxes
After registering as a Connecticut foreign corporation, you will be on the hook for Connecticut annual reports and taxes. Here’s what that looks like.
- Connecticut Annual Reports are due on your anniversary date each year. It costs $435 and must be filed with the Connecticut Business Services Division Online Filing System.
