Associate Attorney

Hybrid – Located in Phoenix, AZ

We’re looking for a skilled lawyer to join our brand new AZ operations who can seamlessly balance sharp legal expertise with a positive, can-do attitude!

Law on Call is the nation’s first non-lawyer owned law firm authorized to operate in Arizona and Utah. Law on Call’s vision is to provide access to legal advice and services to our clients over the phone for a small monthly fee. Subscribing clients can call and have access to an attorney immediately. They can also hire Law on Call for a wide range of legal services. Our practice currently focuses on business formations, transactions, contracts, employment issues, trademarks, and a wide range of legal issues faced by small businesses and business owners. We currently do not do any litigation. We are expanding our Arizona operations and are seeking an attorney with at least three (3) years of experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of experience with business, transactional law and contracts
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Strong desire to help people and businesses
  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree
  • Licensed to practice law in Arizona
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills
  • You’re approachable, adaptable, and have a great sense of humor (because we do too!).

  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients in various areas of law, including business formations, business transactions, contracts, lease agreements, employment law as well as other business related legal issues
  • Answer client phone calls and provide legal advice
  • Draft, review, negotiate a variety of contracts
  • Respond to legal requests and questions quickly and courteously
  • Build relationships with clients
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact clients or practice areas
  • Be flexible and take initiative to help support other areas of the business as needed
  • Ability to learn and adapt to an autonomy driven, employee focused company culture
  • Acts with integrity, demonstrating honesty, transparency, positivity, and trust.

Physical & Sensory Requirements:

  • This position is coded as “hybrid” meaning the position is performed remotely and in office
  • Any position that is required to work in-office regularly or on occasion must be willing to comply with company policy as it relates to the health and safety of employees
  • Ability to sit, constantly, walk, stand, bend and kneel occasionally.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle objects and office equipment, as well as type and/or write constantly
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms
  • Able to communicate, both in writing and verbally, in English constantly
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus constantly
  • Ability to hear customers on the phone and co-workers in person constantly

Salary:
$85,000-$150,000/Year DOE
